This Giant Hyssop I think from Mexico looks great and the species is a recommended RHS plant for pollinators. It was however attacked by slugs over the course of a week and was down to its last leaves so had to be taken out and put into a pot to hopefully recover.
My observations were that despite its lovely flowers it was generally avoided by insects and rarely had any bees or flies visiting it. I'm not sure if this was to do with it being attacked or if it was just too exotic for our native wildlife. From a wild gardening point of view, not recommended.
